Second Nature Films is an independent film production company co-founded by Michael McIntyre and Kate McIntyre Clere in 1997.
Our company mission is to find out more about our extraordinary natural environment and to celebrate the lives of people with whom we share this planet.

Kate McIntyre Clere, Producer/Director/Writer
After a successful career as an actor and theatre director Kate moved into film. In 1997 she co-founded Second Nature Films and directed her first feature A Year on the Wing, which launched the first online documentary genre in Australia. Kate was Director/Writer and Producer on Gaining Ground, A Hard Place and Co –Director of the award winning feature documentary Yogawoman. Kate’s work has been reviewed in the New York Times, Variety, LA Times and Woman’s Day. She is an author for the Huffington Post and has contributed a chapter to a new USA book ‘Yoga and Body Image’. In 2015 Kate produced the Australian feature documentary Aussie Rules The World .
Mick McIntyre, Producer/Director/Cinematographer/Writer
Mick was given a super 8mm movie camera when he was 12 years old and has making films since then. He has spent 35 years working in the film industry, starting out as a driver, spent 10 years as an assistant director on feature films before finding his passion making documentaries. In 1997 he Co-founded Second Nature Films to produce films that inspire people. He produced and was cinematographer on the award winning film Yogawoman. He was Producer, Director and Cinematographer Aussie Rules the World.
Sara Kidd
Production Manger
Sara has spent the last 10 years in Film, Television, Marketing and Business Branding. She has worked with Second Nature Films as their Production Manager for the last 3 years. She has also distributed their feature film Yogawoman into 52 cinemas in Australia, New Zealand, Japanand Canada. Sara also managed Premiere Screening Tours in cinemas in the USA, UK and Germany. The film had multiple sell out Premieres and Q+A events. Other projects she distributed include Circle Of Lies, I Love This Place and now AUSSIE RULES The World . She has assisted many filmmakers with identifying and building audience fan hubs and structuring distribution and marketing strategies that appeal directly to their targeted market. She has an outstanding knowledge of digital platforms and interactive behaviors; she has a depth of understanding unique to the Australian film industry. Her contacts with cinema owners and international distributors have been paramount to the success of her clients. She also the General Manager for Indievillage film distribution.
